Google search results for AI agents

Your agent gets live Google results through 1ToolRing. It asks discover_tools for the job, reads the price with inspect_tool, then runs a search tool such as dataforseo/serp/google-organic, which costs $0.0026 (Rp48) per page of 10 results. One key and one prepaid balance pay for it, and a failed call costs nothing.

There is no Google Cloud project or vendor account to set up. The same balance also pays for autocomplete suggestions and Google AI Mode answers.

Moving off the Custom Search JSON API

Google's overview page says the Custom Search JSON API is not available for new customers, and existing customers can use it until the service is discontinued on 1 January 2027 (checked 5 Nov 2026). If a script or agent of yours calls it today, a search tool here returns Google results as JSON, paid per call from a prepaid balance.

What a run looks like

Your agent sends this to run_tool, or your script posts it to https://api.1toolring.com/api/v1/tools/run with a Bearer key. The field names below are the ones in the public docs example.

keyword: the search query.
language_code: the results language. The docs example also lists location_code for the country or city.
The agent checks the live input schema with inspect_tool before every run, so it uses the current fields and sees the price first.

Questions

Do I need a Google API key?

No. Your agent signs in to 1ToolRing from its MCP client, or your script sends one 1ToolRing API key. There is no Google Cloud project, billing account or search engine ID to set up.

What does a Google search cost?

dataforseo/serp/google-organic costs $0.0026 (Rp48) per page of 10 results, and each further page adds the same price. The serpapi/google/search tool costs $0.020 (Rp354) per successful search. Prices as of 5 Nov 2026; the agent sees the live price before each run.

Is there a subscription?

No. There is no plan and no monthly fee. You top up a prepaid balance, from Rp10.000 by bank virtual account or Alfamart/Indomaret or from $1 by card, and each call spends its listed price. The balance does not expire.

What happens if a call fails?

You pay nothing. Before a run, 1ToolRing holds the most it can cost. If the tool errors or the run fails, the whole hold goes back to your balance. A run that succeeds settles to its real cost, and the X-ToolRing-Cost-USD and X-ToolRing-Cost-IDR headers show the exact charge.

Can I pay in rupiah?

Yes. Your balance is kept in rupiah. Top up by bank virtual account (BCA, BNI, BRI, Mandiri and other banks) or in cash at Alfamart or Indomaret, from Rp10.000. Card top-ups are charged in US dollars, from $1.
