Exchange rates for AI agents

Your agent gets exchange rates from 1ToolRing's own FX tools: the latest daily rates, a conversion at the daily reference rate, or the rate history for one pair. Each call costs $0.00028 (Rp5), paid from the same prepaid balance as every other tool.

The rates are blended central-bank reference rates, updated daily. They suit invoices, reports and price conversions; they are not intraday quotes.

What a run looks like

The FX tools follow the same flow as every other tool: inspect first, then run.

  • 1toolring/fx/convert takes an amount, the currency to convert from, the currency to convert to and, if you want a past rate, a date as YYYY-MM-DD.
  • 1toolring/fx/latest takes a base currency and, optionally, the currencies you want back. 1toolring/fx/history takes one currency pair and two dates, at most 366 days apart.
  • Your agent reads the exact field names, and which ones are required, with inspect_tool before the run. Inspect is free.

Questions

Is the exchange rate API free?
No. Each call costs $0.00028 (Rp5). Approved accounts get a Rp10.000 starter balance once, after email verification, which covers 2,000 calls. After that you top up any amount from Rp10.000 or $1.
How fresh are the rates?
They are blended central-bank reference rates, updated once a day. 1toolring/fx/convert and 1toolring/fx/history also answer for past dates.
Is there a subscription?
No. There is no plan and no monthly fee. You top up a prepaid balance, from Rp10.000 by bank virtual account or Alfamart/Indomaret or from $1 by card, and each call spends its listed price. The balance does not expire.
What happens if a call fails?
You pay nothing. Before a run, 1ToolRing holds the most it can cost. If the tool errors or the run fails, the whole hold goes back to your balance. A run that succeeds settles to its real cost, and the X-ToolRing-Cost-USD and X-ToolRing-Cost-IDR headers show the exact charge.
Can I pay in rupiah?
Yes. Your balance is kept in rupiah. Top up by bank virtual account (BCA, BNI, BRI, Mandiri and other banks) or in cash at Alfamart or Indomaret, from Rp10.000. Card top-ups are charged in US dollars, from $1.
