# 1ToolRing: full text for LLMs

> 1ToolRing is a pay-per-call data layer for AI agents by Khaisa Studio, Indonesia: one key and one prepaid balance for search, SEO, maps, e-commerce price and exchange-rate data.

## How it works

1ToolRing is a remote MCP server (https://mcp.1toolring.com/mcp, Streamable HTTP) and a REST API (https://api.1toolring.com). The person adds the server to the AI they already use and signs in once in the browser (OAuth), or sends an API key as `Authorization: Bearer <key>`.

The agent then works in four steps, the same over MCP and REST:

1. `discover_tools` finds tools for a job written in plain words (free).
2. `inspect_tool` returns the tool's input schema and its price (free). The price is known before the run.
3. `run_tool` runs it. The most a run can cost is held at the start and settled to the real cost when it finishes. A failed call is never charged.
4. `get_tool_run` reads the status and result of a slow run (free).

Money: one prepaid balance, kept in rupiah, shown as US dollars and rupiah. No subscription, no plans, no packs. Top up any amount from Rp10.000 by bank virtual account or Alfamart/Indomaret, or from $1 by card, up to Rp10.000.000 per top-up. Top-ups are non-refundable and the balance does not expire.

Early access: new accounts are approved in batches. Until approval, sign-in works but tools, keys and top-ups answer 403 EARLY_ACCESS_PENDING. An approved account gets a Rp10.000 starter balance after email verification.

What the catalog covers: search and SEO, maps and places, e-commerce products and prices, and exchange rates. Not offered: people or contact data, email finding, social media data, and web scraping. Those tools answer 403 TOOL_BLOCKED and nothing is charged.

### Claude

1. Open Customize > Connectors, select + Add, then Add custom connector.
2. Name it 1toolring and enter the server URL, then select Continue:

3. The URL is all it needs: leave the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret empty (the client registers itself), then select Add.
4. Select Connect next to the connector and approve access on the 1ToolRing page.
5. On Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds the connector in Organization settings > Connectors; each member then selects Connect. The Free plan allows one custom connector.

### ChatGPT

1. Open Plugins, select the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
2. Name it 1toolring. Under Connection enter the server URL:

3. Choose OAuth for authentication, accept the risk warning, select Create as a plugin, and approve access on the 1ToolRing page when asked.
4. Full custom MCP servers are available on ChatGPT Business and Enterprise/Edu on the web; in a Business workspace only admins and owners can add one.

## FAQ

Q: Is 1ToolRing another chatbot?
A: No. 1ToolRing works inside the AI you already use: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Hermes, OpenCode, or your own agent. It gives that AI paid tools to call; it is not a place you chat.

Q: How does early access work?
A: 1ToolRing is in early access. Sign up with your email, and we approve new accounts in batches and email you when yours is ready. Then sign in from your agent. Until then you can sign in, but tools, keys and top-ups stay locked, and the starter balance is added when you are approved.

Q: I'm not technical. What do I actually do?
A: Add the 1ToolRing server to your AI with its URL, then sign in with your 1ToolRing account when your AI asks: it opens a browser page where you select Allow. There is no key to copy. The install page has the steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other clients, and you can sign up first if you have no account yet.

Q: What does it cost?
A: Every tool shows its price before it is called, and a call that fails is never charged. There is no subscription: top up a prepaid balance in rupiah and your AI spends it per call. The dollar figures on this page use the ECB rate and are indicative. How pricing works is on the pricing page.

Q: What does a Google search cost?
A: Live Google results for one keyword through dataforseo/serp/google-organic cost Rp48 (about $0.0026) per call for a page of 10 results, as of 5 Nov 2026. Your AI sees the live price before it runs the tool. More examples are in the price table.

Q: Can I pay in rupiah?
A: Yes. Your balance is kept in rupiah. Top up any amount from Rp10.000 by bank virtual account or at Alfamart/Indomaret, or from $1 by card in US dollars.

Q: Which tools are in the catalog?
A: Hundreds of tools across search and SEO, maps and places, e-commerce products and prices, and market data: live SERP results and keyword volume, Google Maps places, Amazon and Google Shopping products, and stock, crypto and FX prices. Not offered: people or contact data, email finding, social media data, and web scraping. Your AI searches the catalog live by the job, reads the tool's input and its price, and only then runs it. A call that fails is never charged, and nothing is shown as free by accident.

Q: Do I need to code?
A: No. If you only want your AI to use the tools, adding the server and signing in is the whole setup. If you build agents, the same catalog is a REST API and an MCP server at https://mcp.1toolring.com/mcp that follows one flow: discover_tools, then inspect_tool (input and price), then run_tool.

Q: Where do my vendor accounts come in?
A: They don't. The tools come from third-party providers, and you hold one 1ToolRing key and one prepaid balance for all of them. Your AI never sees a vendor key, and you never read a vendor invoice.

Q: Is my key safe with my AI?
A: A key is shown once at creation and stored only as a hash on our side. You can issue one key per agent, set a budget on it, see every call it made, and revoke it from the console at any time.

## Billing FAQ

Q: Is there a subscription or a minimum?
A: There is no subscription, plan or monthly fee. Top up any amount you like: the only floor is the payment method's own minimum, Rp10.000 by bank virtual account or Alfamart/Indomaret (Rp1.000 by QRIS once it is back) or $1 by card. You spend it per call.

Q: How do I pay?
A: Top up from the Billing page in the console and pay in rupiah with a bank virtual account or at a minimarket (QRIS is temporarily unavailable at the payment provider). Paywuz, an Indonesian payment gateway, runs the payment page; Khaisa Studio is the seller. You can also pay in US dollars by card: Creem (creem.io) is the merchant of record for USD top-ups and may add sales tax or VAT at checkout. USDC payments are coming soon. For rupiah payments, the fee of the payment method you pick is shown on the payment page and is paid on top of the top-up amount.

Q: Which payment methods are there?
A: Virtual accounts at BCA, BNI, BRI, BSI, CIMB Niaga, Danamon, Mandiri, Maybank, OCBC and Permata, and cash at Alfamart or Indomaret. QRIS is temporarily unavailable and will come back once the payment provider fixes it. Cards in US dollars through Creem.

Q: When does my balance go up?
A: As soon as Paywuz confirms the payment, usually seconds after you pay. Your balance and every top-up are visible on the Billing page.

Q: How do I know what a call cost?
A: Each response carries the X-ToolRing-Cost-USD and X-ToolRing-Cost-IDR headers with the exact charge, and every call is listed in your activity log.

Q: Can my agent pay per call with x402?
A: Not yet. x402 payments are coming soon; today every call is paid from your prepaid balance.

Q: Can I get a refund?
A: No. Top-ups are non-refundable, and the balance cannot be withdrawn or moved to another account, so top up what you expect to use. It does not expire, and a failed call is never charged. If a top-up was charged twice or by mistake, email us within 14 days.
